The 14 Valentines Day Midlands Musts

  1. Something for the boys

n1

Guys aren’t into Valentine’s Day nearly as much as we would like them to be… so maybe we need to make up for all the chocolates, presents from Freerange, love and attention we expect on this beautiful day :).

Let me introduce you to The Notties Hotel

n2

This is man heaven,  a stunning ‘old school’ hotel that has been around since 1854 – this place has character and charm. Locals flock in every Friday and Saturday for an evening filled with atmosphere, rugby, beer and burgers (I should have been a boy, because this just appeals to me).

The old pub has a lovely character, with its wooden floors, farmstyle décor and roaring fire places in the winter months. Tables are riddled throughout the gardens offering a lovely spot for a sundowner with some good friends while kids play :).

As children we spent a lot time here with our folks, all the farmers in the pub and all us kids climbing jungle gyms, watching movies and sleeping in the car – going back just makes me smile remembering those days :).

Owner Clive and Linda Foss are always looking for ways to entertain their customers and offer super specials and run some incredible events too, there is always a buzz in and around this hotel and defiantly worth a visit! Call it an “educational/historical” stop if need be, I personally don’t need an excuse to pop in for a sundowner ;)
